Angela Merkel attracted by Trans-Siberian railway journey

Flickr/Christliches Medienmagazin prоGerman Chancellor Angela Merkel would like to realize her long-held dream – to go for a Trans-Siberian railway journey. He shared this at a meeting with kids in a course of her election campaign, RIA Novosti reports.

Angela has admitted that she loves Germany more than other countries, however she would love to tour US Rocky Mountains and go on a Trans-Siberian railway journey.

Angela Merkel has also mentioned that she learned Russian language in school, and it was one of the most favorite subjects.

The Trans-Siberian Railway is the longest railway in the world (9,288 kilometers). It was built between 1891 and 1916 to connect Moscow with the Far-East city of Vladivostok. En route it passes through the cities of Perm, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Chita and Khabarovsk. The Trans-Siberian Railway is very popular among Russian and foreign tourists.
