Group of specialists have been gathering historical artefacts in the bank-caving zone to pass them to the Russian Arctic National park.

Deputy Director of the National Park Maria Gavrilo has noted that this was emergency rescue of the artefacts in the marine erosion zone. Expedition participants took containers, different items with marks, remains of utensils and other artшfacts aged 100 years. At present, the items are transported to the Quiet Bay station situated at the Guker Island. Later the remains of Baldwin Polar Expedition will be transported by scientists to Archangelsk.

Maria Gavrilo has noted that Ziegler camp of Baldwin’s expedition is one of the most well-preserved monuments of the North Pole exploration time period. However, it was located next to the bank and open to the beating of waves, which did its job over a hundred of years.
