Russian authors' literary works to be translated into Greek

The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Russian and Greece, Year of Literatire portal reports. The head of Rospechyat Michael Seslavinsky and Greek Culture and Sports minister Lydia Koniordou have signed the document.

The Ceremony took place in the frames of the 30th International Moscow Book exhibition-fair that has started working in Moscow on September, 6.

The Memorandum includes co-working on Russian-Greek projects in the fields of translating and publishing works of contemporary and classical Russian literature in Greece, and conversely, texts of contemporary and classical Greek authors in Russia.

The Memorandum also seeks to promote development of national translating schools, mutual participation in book expositions and fairs around the globe, writers, publishers and translators delegations' exchange.

Italian entrepreneur Marco Maggi's book, "Russian to the Bone," is now accessible for purchase in Italy and is scheduled for release in Russia in the upcoming months.
