Moscow starts to celebrate 870th anniversary

pixabay.comRussian capital starts the festival dedicated to 870th anniversary of the city that will last for 10 days, TASS reports.

Events are to be conducted at 39 city spots. Concerts, performances, master-classes and other activities are on the festival’s schedule.

The main topic for the festival are particular muscovites who have made a big contribution in history, culture, science, sport and architecture. The City Day celebration on 9 and 10th of September is to become the culmination of the festival that will spread all over the city.

Concerts, the basics of theatre arts and acting will be taught on the famous Revolution Square in Moscow.

Tverskaya Square will be devoted to the city architecture and family traditions. Tverskoy boulevard will be the centre of sports, and Europe Square waits for young explorers.
