Administration of the President of the RussianForbes editorial has drafted a list of the most powerful Russian people over the last century: from 1917 when the Great October Revolution happened until 2017, RIA Novosti informs. According to experts of the editorial, major roles in history belong to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, pop singer Alla Pugacheva and USSR Communist Party Secretary General Leonid Brezhnev.

According to specialists, they chose people who had tremendous impact on science, culture and politics. Soviet Leaders Lenin and Brezhnev, scientists Pavlov and Vavilov, ballet dancer Maya Plisetskaya and opera signer Feodor Chaliapin, film directors Leonid Gaidai and Sergei Eisenstain

Twenty-one contemporary people are on the list. Apart from Russian President, this ranking includes dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov, founder of social network VKontakte Pavel Durov, sportsmen Alexander Ovechkin and Vladislav Tretiak, scientist Grigory Perelman and others.

The youngest person on the list is Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin, who has just turned twenty-three years old.
