2019 as Year of Russian Hospitality

pixabay.comRostourism offers to declare 2019 as a year of Russian hospitality, RIA Novosti informs. According to deputy chief of community council of Ministry of Environment and Tourism Dmitry Davydenko, three hundred years since Peter the Great’s decree establishing guesthouses will be marked in 2019. He commented that this date could be called the beginning of Russian hospitality and celebrated further on.

Community council have added that that they discussed this proposal with Rostourism management and plan to address the government with this proposal. Davydenko expressed hope that other institutions will support it too.

Besides, a national touristic ranking should be ready by 2019. It will be based on online voting system.

The ranking will separate hotel industry and tourist business, taking into account several criteria such as security, friendliness, ecology, barrier-free behavior and protection of tourists’ rights.

Two sections of the ranking concerning accommodation of tourists in our country and abroad are ready and launched. At present works in the North Caucasian Federal District and Turkey are being conducted.
