76 new schools to open in Russia by September 1

depositphotos.comA record number of new schools will be opened in Russia until the end of this year, TASS informs. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev made this statement in the course of meeting dedicated to the beginning of a new academic year.

According to Prime Minister, seventy-six new educational institutions will start working by September 1 in Russia and ninety-four more by New Year. Around one hundred people will go to new schools. Dmitry Medvedev added that such a big number of schools constructed over the last two years have never been built previously. At this, new schools are built and equipped with consideration of all modern requirements.

Overall around ninety four thousand various educational institutions exist in the country, forty-two of them being schools.

Authorities do not forget about functioning schools. Many of these schools require fundamental repair. Number of schools in critical conditions has been four times reduced over the last eight years.

Prime Minister has also reminded that this year a number of schoolchildren will grow up to 15, 5 million people, it is one million more compared to last year. One million eight hundred thousand of them will start attending schools. This number has also increased by one hundred thousand people.

Thirty thousand people are currently being educated in the country in total. Dmitry Medvedev is sure that everything should be done to secure a high level of education for them: It is essential to have interest and comfort in studying. Conditions of studying define future results of the educational system on the whole as well as success of individual students.
