Dovlatov Days concluded in Estonia

Tamara Zibunova, family archiveFifth International Literature festival devoted to Dovlatov has completed in Tallinn. This time the festival was devoted to countries and cities connected with Dovlatov's name, BaltNews reports.

St. Petersburg was represented by the head of Zvezda magazine Andrei Ariev, New York - by close friend and colleague of Dovlatov, writer Alexander Genis. The daughter of writer Ekaterina has arrived to Estonia as well.

Alexander Florensky's artworks were exhibited in the framework of the festival. Presentation of the new collected writer's works in four volumes and thematic book fair took place as well. Special Dovlatov city tours were organized for the festival participants.

According to the art director of the festival Elena Skulskaya, the event is addressed for admirers of Dovlatov's masterworks. Those who knew him very well have told real stories that were not included in his books.

Dovlatov Marathon has become the festival's culmination point. It was attended by several dozens of public and cultural figures from Estonia and other countries.
