Ecological Marathon for Moscovites and city guests

pixabay.comDays of Open Gardens ecological marathon have started on August 25 in the Russian capital, RIA Novosti informs. This campaign is organized for the first time. Participants have a chance to visit twelve gardens located at natural territories under special protection. Campaign is devoted to the city jubilee, celebrated at the beginning of September.

Ecological marathon contains multiple activities such as excursions, lectures, masterclasses and contests. The entrance is free for all. Guests get to know vegetation of this region, learning how to take care of flowers and trees, and to get rid of weeds correctly.

Organizers note that Moscow natural territories are not just park belts, natural and landscape reserves but also gardens, parks for studying trees and pharmaceutic gardens.

Lianozovsky reserve demonstrates common types of weeds. Travnikov garden holds a masterclass on withdrawal of weeds. Guests learn to take care of garden beds so that weeds should not appear again.

There will be an tour medicinal plants at natural territory on Kuzminskaya street. Besides, visitors are to be treated with fruit and tea with honey.
