A rally and a wide-scale ascension of mountain climbers and amateurs to Avachinsky volcano is planned during the celebrations.

Running down the Avacha slope will happen as a part of the Kamchatka Region Championships for so-called «sky running». Fans of mountain climbing, preferring quiet and hasteless ascension to fast running will quietly climb the classical routes leading right to the mountain top.

After the sports’ activities are over, their participants together with workers of The Kamchatka Volcanos Natural Park will go hiking to attend an excursion A Camel where they will have an opportunity to collect trash. Closer to the evening, an award ceremony of winners of the rally and the ascension as well as a movie demonstration about the Kamchatka volcanos are scheduled.

A dancing festival and a concert of classical music with participation of musicians of the Kamchatka Philharmonic Hall will end the celebration of the Volcano Day.
