Putin: American side has taken unprovoked attack on Russia

30.07.2017

755 American diplomats will have to leave Russia as a result of anti-Russian sanctions by September, 1. "The American side has made a move which, it is important to note, hasn't been provoked by anything, to worsen Russian-US relations," Vladimir Putin told during Rossiya 1 TV Channel exclusive interview.

"Over 1,000 employees — diplomats and technical workers — worked and continue to work today in Russia; 755 will have to stop this activity,” said Russian president. He has underlined, that Russia "had run out of patience waiting for relations with the United States to improve."

Let us remember, the US House of Representatives approved a new round of sanctions on July, 28. In two days it was confirmed that Donald Trump will sign the new veto.

Moscow has announced the reduction in American diplomatic staff July 28 as well, but the quantity was unknown. Vladimir Putin has confirmed yesterday, July 30, the exact number of embassy personnel involved.

Aside of the US staff reduction, Russian authorities are going to seize several US diplomatic properties in Moscow.
