Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin and the team coach Sergey Gonchar have brought the Stanley Cup in Moscow. The trophy was exhibited in the Hockey Museum of Moscow.

Evgeni Malkin and Sergey Gonchar presented the Cup and then answered questions and took pictures with their fans. Athletes have accepted congratulations with the second victory and expressed hope that next year will bring Penguins more prizes.

“Emotions are running high; the day with the Stanley Cup is a very remarkable event,” Evgeni Malkin said to journalists. The forward has won NHL playoff three times and hence three times has handled the trophy.

Traditionally every member of the winning team can take Stanley Cup for several days and even bring it to their birthland, of which Malkin and Gonchar have availed themselves. For the first time the trophy has travelled to Russia in 1997 after the victory of Detroit hockey players Vyacheslav Fetisov, Igor Larionov, and Vyacheslav Kozlov.

Let us remember, Pittsburgh Penguins have become champions in the past season, winning from Nashville 4:2. Evgeni Malkin received 28 points becoming the best NHL playoff scorer.
