24 hour access to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker relics is open today in Saint Petersburg, RIA Novosti reports.

According to organizers this decision was taken because the line of pilgrims has grown too much .

As of today people have to wait in line more than 7 hours.

The last possibility to venerate the relics is tomorrow, on June 27, until 6 pm. The solemn ceremony of handing over of the St. Nicholas relics to Bari will happen the next day, July, 28.

Let us remind you, the particle of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker’s relics was transported from Bari to Russia on July, 13. This outstanding event has happened for the first time in 930 years. As of now, more than million people came to pray at holy relic.
