24.07.2017

KAMAZ-master
Russian team KAMAZ-master was the best at the Silk Way Trucks rally-raid in China - it has won all the awards, RIA Novosti reported. Dmitry Sotnikov’s crew has won the first place in the general truck standings.

The victory for Dmitry and all other participants was a surprise. They had to cover the ultimate 100 kilometers of the rally’s Special Stage but the final part was unexpectedly cancelled because of the heavy rains and storms. Hence, the Silk Way rally-raid has wrapped up with the following result: Dmitry Sotnikov’s crew has covered the distance in 43 hours 43 minutes and 38 seconds, Anton Shibalov’s crew has arrived 6 minutes later, and another KAMAZ-Master member, Airat Mardeev’s crew took 3d place arriving at the final stop 23 min later.

It’s worth mentioning that Russia was represented by four teams that since the very beginning were leading the race. Russian President has congratulated all the winners of Silk Way rally.
