Russian foil fencer gets the first gold again

Inna Deriglazova receives first gold at the World Fencing championships in Leipzig, TASS informs. Russian athlete in a balanced duel beat Italian Ellis Volpe, with a minimum difference 14-13.

It was the first gold in Russia’s team medal count.

For Inna Deriglazova it is the forth gold: two of them she’s earned as a part of a team, and two in individual tournaments.

In the men’s saber fencing competition Kamil Ibragimov has won the bronze. He lost to South Korean athlete Gu Bon-gil during semifinals with 10-15 count. However, Ibragimov was still happy to receive the bronze since it is his best result at the individual tournament.

Championships will conclude on July, 26.
