Putin ordered to find possibility of issuing RF citizenship to ex-Russian citizens

21.07.2017

President of Russia Putin has ordered to find possibility of issuing RF citizenship to ex-Russian citizens at the Session of the International Relations Advisory Board in Yoshkar-Ola, TASS reports. Due to imperfections of certain provisions in Citizenship Act and to small-scale violations made by petitioners, around 100,000 people can’t receive Russian passports.

This problem was reported by Aslambek Paskachev, the chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Social Movement “Russian Congress of the Caucasus Peoples”. He has stressed that most of the claimants’ mistakes are connected with application deadlines failure otherwise nonessential at all. At this, Vladimir Putin has noted that it is necessary to formulate the specific proposals on this issue.

“I think it’s important. I will support you with enthusiasm, but we need to find an optimal decision,” has commented Russian President.
