Unfortunately Svetlana Kuznezova is withdrawn from the tournament because she has lost the game playing in double with French athlete. The Russian-language player from Latvia Elena Ostapenko also was unlucky. She has lost a landslide to the famous Venus Williams.

The Wimbledon tournament's fund this year is little bit more than $1 million.

One of the four Grand Slam tournaments, the International Championships Wimbledon was conducted for the first time in 1877. Over all these years, Maria Sharapova was the only one Russian winner of the harsh competition in 2004.
