Prince Vladimir monument raised in Valaam

The monument was designed and delivered with St. Andrew The First Called Foundation support and Zaporozhye air concern financial help. Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Krill has blessed the endeavour. It worth mentioning that before Andrew The First Called Foundation together with Zaporozhye air concern have set monuments devoted to Andrew of the First Call and Blessed Virgin.

The bronze monument was cast in the workshop of the sculptor Andrey Klukov. It was raised on July 10, at the Day of Saints Sergiy and George Valaamsky that lived on the Valaam Island in the 14th century.

It is expected that Vladimir Putin will arrive to Valaam today to take part in the monument opening ceremony.

As the St. Andrew The First Called Foundation Chairman of the Board of Trustees Vladimir Yakunin has marked, all the joint projects aimed mainly at "enhancing Russia and Ukraine historical national heritage, it symbolises our good will to live in peace and harmony.”
