Studies and popularization of knowledge about Russian heritage in Great Britain became the central issue of the international forum held in London, as per the website of the World Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots.

Historians, writers, Russian language teachers and philologists, as well as the most prominent public figures of our country took part in the event. They discussed a contribution of the Russian Community into development of the local society. Another important topic was implementation of the task to keep memories about the Russian presence in this country.
Russian Heritage in Great Britain committee organized the forum with support from the Russian Embassy.

Prince, a well-known benefactor and a collector of the Russian Art Nikita Lobanov-Rostovsky presented his books at the conference. Besides, there were presentations about development of Orthodox Christianity in Great Britain and about people who made a considerable contribution into the British history, literature, science and culture.

The participants of the conference received diplomas as a sign of gratitude for their efforts, directed at reinforcement of friendship and ties between Russia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
