She danced as Tatiana with her long time partner Marcelo Gomes as Onegin.

Diana started studying ballet when she was 6, and at 11 she’s entered famous Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. In 1994 Vishneva had a first victory at the International Young Ballet Dancers’ Competition in Lausanne where she took both the Gold Medal and the Grand Prix. Two years later the dancer made her debut at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. Since then she appeared in lead roles in Swan Lake, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Lost Illusions and many others.

Diana Vishneva’s international career as a guest soloist has began in 2001 with her performance at the Bavarian State Ballet in Manon, and at the La Scala Theater in The Sleeping Beauty. She has been a principle dancer at ABT since 2003.

Diana is not bidding farewell to dance. This august she plans to open a studio in St. Petersburg where, along with classical ballet training, she’ll offer yoga and gymnastics for both professionals and nonprofessionals.
