Summer Folklore Camp invites to Palanga

Lithuanian city Palanga opens doors to international folklore camp for the 17th time at the end of June. The Tradition Summer Creative School invites kids and youth folklore groups, as well as teachers from Lithuania and abroad, all those to whom folklore traditions matter.

The Tradition school is famous for involving the best educators from Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Belorussia. They help kids to understand deep roots of history and traditions. Enough to name some of the celebrated participants - Sergey Starostin, Andrey Kotov, Irina Nekrasova, Ekaterina Boyarskix and many other excellent musicians that represent folklore culture at home and abroad. During 8 days students will be able to take various master classes with these and other masters.

There are various subjects, like folklore singing, choreography, theatre, arts and crafts, folk costumes, and also Russian language and history, folklore expeditions materials observation, etc. There’s a special program developed for every age group. Master classes and seminars for teachers are also included in the rich festival’s program. After the day full of activities, an evening entertainment to follow with folk dances and concerts in Amber Museum of Botanical Garden, and others.

The Tradition summer creative school organisers Irina and Nikolay Zakharov are sure that growing kid on folklore traditions is the best way to raise self conscious person who is aware of other cultures.

The Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations and Moscow Center for International Cooperation have supported the event.
