iVolga Forum opens in Samara

ivolgaforum.ruTwo thousand young people from 19 countries come together for the iVolga forum that opens in Samara outskirts today, June 14, RIA Novosti reports. Fifth Annual Youth Forum of the Volga Federal District is held in a very picturesque place at the Mastrukovskie Lakes, 40 km from Samara near Samarskaya Luka national park in the autonomous field camp.

Ecology is one of the main topics of the forum. According to the organizers, there was a pretty competitive participants’ selection, only one out of six was chosen to be a part of iVolga Forum. All the candidates presented projects to compete for grant awards. The prize fund this year exceeds $140,000.

The organizers explain that "The participants will be given the opportunity to gain their professional skills in project activity in Russia as well as to learn the peculiarities of collaborative scientific, agricultural and business projects realisation”. They will also have a chance to meet with official RF Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova, Head of Ministry of Public Health Veronica Skvortsova, and professional ecologists.

Ecofest festival, innovations and technical art, Sports and Athletic Competitions, management tournament, various master classes and parachuting competition are included in the program.

Military-historical reconstruction of the WW2 events and Brest fortress teleconference will mark 22nd of June, the Memorial Day of WW2 beginning.

The festival will conclude on June, 24th.
