Russians to take part in contest for young musicians in Argentine

Young Russian musicians are taking part in the International Festival for Young Musicians held in Argentine, TASS informs. Several hundreds of young performers from different countries gathered in Puerto Iguazu including a scholarship holder of The Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation, Alexander Rublyev. 11-year-old trumpet-player studying at Gnessin State Music College has won various contests numerous times. One more scholarship holder of The Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation, ten-year-old flutist Elena Krivorotova will also perform at the festival. Besides, both children will come out at the open-air stage during the final gala concert. The concert will be arranged near the world-known waterfalls of Iguazu on May 27.

Russian musicians have successfully passed a qualifying round out of almost four hundred musicians. Three winners were defined by viewers’ voting. Names of the other three best musicians were selected by the jury consisting of professionals in the world of music.

Festival bill includes performances of eleven singers and nine orchestras. Three vocal and two dancing troupes representing Latin America, North America, Asian-Pacific Region, Africa and Europe will demonstrate their talents. A grand music holiday supported by the Ministry of Culture, Education, Science and Technology of Misiones Province, Argentine, and financially supported by Federal Investment Council of Argentine.
