28.04.2017

Olympic Park, Sochi

Formula 1 Grand Prix races have started in Sochi. The competitions are conducted in this Russia’s Black sea resort city for the fourth time, RIA Novosti reports. First races will take part today, April 28. The competition will last until April 30. According to specialists, these competitions will be a perfect opportunity for Russian Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kvyat to demonstrate his skills. The beginning of this season was not quite successful for him. Daniil got only two points and occupied the fourteenth place.

Kvyat confirms that he is very pleased to come back to Sochi. A young sportsman is not embarrassed by the attention of the audience confined to his personality. “Domestic race is a privilege for each racer, including myself”, Kvyat explained.

Organizers assured that they did not experience any problems preparing for the weekend racing competitions. The track passed all necessary checks successfully. The changes of rules were known beforehand and all the works were completed in due time. Russian spectators will be the first ones to watch new Formula 1, which promises to be even faster and more unpredictable than before.
