Moscow metro audio announcements are all translated in English

28.04.2017

Now announcements in both Russian and English can be heard on all trains of the Moscow metro. In the light of preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, not only subway stations are now advertised in English, but also the metro staff goes through intensive English language training, as per the head of Moscow metro Dmitry Pegov. Let us remind you that on the first stage, the names of all stations on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya and the Circle Line were translated.

As the Russian capital guests have any questions they will be served at the Live Interaction stands. Along with Russian and English, several other languages are going to be used.

Navigation signs throught the metro will be all translated. The subway map will be issued in several languages as a supplemental help for the city guests.

Moscow metro is thought to be one of the most beautiful and expensive projects in the history of metropolitan architecture. It works beginning from 1935, and bears 56% of public transportation duty in Moscow.
