Russia: Western mass media kept silent about Mosul tragedy

Dozens of civil population repeatedly fell victims of bomb attacks in Mosul. At this, mass media avoids mentioning indignation about these facts. It is a completely different situation if compared to Aleppo liberation operation in Syria.

“Western mass media sources do not produce anger about counter-terrorism operation in Mosul, unlike the tension around liberation of East Aleppo at the end of last year,” the statement says.

Russian Embassy is sure that international mass media and various non-governmental institutions deliberately conceal Mosul tragedy. Thousands of people live at the front line in the city. The current situation is much worse than it was in Aleppo.

It became known the day before that Russia had proposed to conduct a special briefing meeting for the United Nations Security Council regarding USA actions in Mosul. Russian diplomats emphasized that they planned to follow the situation in Mosul further on.

Earlier local mass media in Iran broadcast that more than 200 people died on March 17 as a result of air attacks of International Military Counter Terrorism Coalition headed by the USA.
