Russia joins the Earth Hour action

WWF//wikipedia.org Today many countries participate in World Wildlife Fund's Earth Hour. During this action the inhabitants suppose to turn off all electrical devices including the light, RIA Novosti reports.

Our country joins the Ecology-friendly movement for the eighth time. From 20:30 for one hour all the buildings' lightening will be suspended. All the major buildings and monuments like Kremlin, Parliament, Hermitage museum and Saint-Petersburg bridges will sink into total darkness.

This year the most eager participant of the action will receive a symbolic price from WWF, it will be called the Earth Hour capital.

This year the group of ecologists plan the flashmob next to Kremlin. They will draw number "60" with candles.

For the last years, the ecology issue has taken very important place in the country's agenda. The year of 2017 was called The Year of Ecology.
