Russian Language Festival held in Slovenia for the seventh time

Rossotrudnichestvo Seventh National Festival Russiada dedicated to Russian language and literature took place in Slovenia with the assistance of the Republic President Borut Pahor, the Rossotrudnichestvo website informs. The event gathered a record number of participants – more than two hundred and fifty university and grammar school students of Slovenia.

The Festival took place at the Loshsky Dvor theatre in Skofja Loka city. Famous scientists and cultural workers of Slovenia as well as local administration including the Mayor were invited to the Festival. Students learning Russian from different parts of Slovenia performed in front of the audience. They read Russian poems, sang Russian songs popular in Slovenia and played musical compositions by Russian composers.

Besides, mini-stagings based on Russian fairytales were prepared by the Festival participants. The students from grammar school Novo-Goritsa screened a movie about their trip to Russian sister – city of Dubna.
