Russian president signed the law that allows residents of other countries to get electronic visa for entering the Russian Federation through Vladivostok. This law was endorsed by Lower Chamber of the Parliament at the end of February, and on March 1 it was supported by senators, TASS reports.

All ports of the Far East south, from Zarubin to Nakhodka and Knevnichi airport belong to the Vladivostok free port territory.

As per Russian Minister for Far East Development Alexander Galushka, new procedure will simplify visa regime, hence attracting more investors and tourists to Russia. He specified that electronic visa was gladly approved by all Far Eastern regions, and most of parliamentarians.

Electronic visas will be available for the coming this fall 3 Eastern Economic forum participants. Now tourists from abroad wouldn’t have to pay the consular fee, and the process of receiving the entry permission will be simplified. It’s enough to apply with electronic form.

Let us remind you that this rule was already established in Kaliningrad. As Russkiy Mir informed earlier, Saint-Petersburg authorities also want to introduce e-visas for foreign tourists.
