High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the Commission Federica Mogherini was met in Serbia by chants “Serbia, Russia we don’t need the Union!” RIA Novosti reports. During her speech in Belgrade some far-right patriotic lawmakers were shouting “Serbia, Russia we don’t need the Union!” The Prime-Minister also was present during the assembly.

Mogerini came to the Serbian capital in the course of her Western Balkans tour. Her meeting with the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić and the head of the government Alexander Vuychich is also in the plan.

Let us remind you that earlier RF Foreign minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Serbia and Russia are successfully working in many directions. He also has marked that the intention of Serbia to enter EU can’t be an obstacle to development and strengthening relations between our countries. In addition, Tomislav Nikolić stated that Serbia will not accede to the sanctions against Russia initiated by EU countries.
