Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and US Secretary of State Tillerson meet for first time in Bonn

Moscow and Washington have a lot to discuss, and all current disagreements not possible to resolve in one talk. It was said by Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov after negotiations with new US secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, as per RIA Novosti. The very first meeting of politicians took place in the margins of a G20 meeting in Bonn.

The head of Russian MFA mentioned that the issues voiced during last meeting were previously raised during the telephone conversation between presidents Putin and Trump. In particular, both sides confirmed their interest in collaborating in the counter-terrorism and research on international conflict resolution.

US secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, in turn, assured that US administration led by president Trump seeks to find mutual understanding with Russia, TASS reports. At the same time, he called on Moscow to abide by the Minsk peace agreement resolving conflict in eastern Ukraine.
