At the specialized Taiwan Forum, a short list of so-called Intelligent Cities was announced. Moscow is on this list for the first time, TASS reports.

Apart from the Russian capital, Top–7 list comprises two cities of Australia, Canada and Taiwan. Moscow was qualified for the final due to several criteria. Among them are Internet access, availability of higher education, interactive city portals and some other parameters.

Having visited Moscow, experts distinguished Moscow technoparks and technopolises as well as secondary and higher educational system of the Russian capital. They were impressed by traffic reorganization scale and a big number of scientific research institutes based in the capital city.

For its Wi-Fi access, Moscow took the second place in the world among other cities. The winner of the award is to be identified in June.
