Belgium Parliament Member: Russia is the Only Country Rendering Help to Syria

08.02.2017

Filip Dewinter, the Belgium parliament member believes that Russia is the only state combating terrorism in Syria and helping civil population of this country. He attended Aleppo and Damask together with other deputies including Russian air base Khmeimim, RIA Novosti reports.

«Russia is the only country providing people with real aid and actively participating in international fight against terrorism», — Belgium representative declared.

Following his words, he was much impressed by the Russian humanitarian action conducted in Aleppo, recently freed from the ISIL terrorists. Russian soldiers opened a field hospital there and rendered medical aid to all the destitute. Field kitchen was also opened, where civilians could get some hot meals.

The deputy from Belgium acknowledged that he felt ashamed of the European countries, which helped only in word. “I am ashamed to confirm that the European countries despite Russia talk small instead of providing real help,” he said.

Dewinter added, that after he returned, he was going to describe everything he had seen. He assured that he would definitely witness a positive role of Russia in managing Syria’s conflict.

The member of Belgium parliament is sure that the European top people should lift the sanctions immediately and stop the Syrian strike. This will facilitate stabilizing the situation in the Arab Republic and reducing the number of migrants from the Middle East to Europe.
