Nekrasov Week in Krakow, Poland

22.12.2016

Within the series of events dedicated to the works of the great Russian poets organized by the Russian Center in Krakow, we have prepared classes to mark the birth anniversary of Nikolay Alekseyevich Nekrasov, the great poet, prosaist, critic and publisher.

A multimedia presentation about the life and work of the poet was prepared specially for the class. Children watched a cartoon “Grandfather Mazay and the Hares” (1980), listened to Nekrasov’s poems recited by our teachers and professional reciters.

It turned out that the Polish youth, especially the school children, are familiar with the works of Nekrasov. The classes proved to be very interesting and useful.

Italian entrepreneur Marco Maggi's book, "Russian to the Bone," is now accessible for purchase in Italy and is scheduled for release in Russia in the upcoming months. In the book, Marco recounts his personal odyssey, narrating each stage of his life as a foreigner in Russia—starting from the initial fascination to the process of cultural assimilation, venturing into business, fostering authentic friendships, and ultimately, reaching a deep sense of identifying as a Russian at his very core.
