New Doctrine of Information Security of Russia approved

The New Doctrine of Information Security of Russia has become operative, reports RIA «Novosti». The document was signed by President of the RF Vladimir Putin. It deals with ensuring information security of Russia.

According to the document, one of the Russian strategic aims in ensuring information security is the prevention of armed conflicts which might be caused by the use of information technologies.

The document emphasizes on the fact that Russian mass media are discriminated in foreign countries. Their authorities put obstacles for their operation and a great number of foreign mass media describe the national policy of Russia interestedly and the number of such sources is growing.

The authors of the document presume that special services of some countries use brainwashing methods to destabilize intra-political and social situation in different parts of the world. As a result, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries are undermined. Most often religious, ethnic and human rights activist organizations deal with that.

The Doctrine also says that a number of cyber-attacks on Russia’s major facilities has been increasing recently and reconnaissance of other countries in relation to Russia has been increasing.

According to the document, the main aims in provision of information security in defense are modernizing of the system of provision of Russian Armed Forces’ information security.
