According to President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Fortov, specialists of the RAS might deal with controlling the content of school textbooks in the context of science as the RAS is on the same page with the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF, reports TASS.

Vladimir Fortov explained that the RAS can deal with the matter in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF. It was the RAS that used to control the content of school textbook but other organizations have been dealing with that over the last two years. As a result, a great number of textbooks the RSA did not control have been published. Due to that, there are plenty of mistakes and pseudoscientific facts in them, which is unallowable.

Mr. Fortov added that there are specialists at the RAS who can take the control under the content of school textbook upon themselves. The RAS “also has some proposals on the struggle against pseudoscience” which “spreads throughout the world as a cancerous tumor”.
