Open lecture on culture of Kievan Rus' delivered in Horlivka

On September 22, the Russian Center operating at the Horlivka Institute for Foreign Languages hosted an open lecture on the Culture of Kievan Rus' delivered to students and lectures of the educational institution by a Candidate of Philological Sciences and assistant professor L.N.Lubimtseva.

Those present at the lecture got the exposure to the history of the early feudal state and the Baptism of Rus', the history of writing, architecture, monumental painting, literature, art of miniature books and Jewelry Art of the period. Interactive technologies helped people presenting at the lecture get better understanding of Kievan Rus' unique culture and see how Byzantine art had influenced it.
