Triumph of Russian film He Is a Dragon in China

A Russian film He is a Dragon is a success with Chinese cinema lovers. The fantasy film made at the studio of a famous Russian producer Timur Bekmambetov has already made about $8 million at the box office and it only took four days since the film was released, reports RIA «Novosti». Thus, the film keeps position four in box office sales and it is in the top ten of films made recently.

It is to be recalled that the film became available for Chinese internet users last February. It became an internet hit in China and got about 34 million views.

The film is based on a novel by famous fantasy authors Sergei and Marina Dyachenlo. It was directed by Indar Dzhendubaev. Matvey Lykov and Maria Poezzhaeva feature in the movie. The film was released in Russia in early December 2015.
