Syrian students are interested in professions dealing with mathematics, physics, astronomy, IT, biology, architecture and Art Studies most of all.

The number of state-funded places at Russian higher educational institutions has not change and this year 15,000 places are available for international students.

As it was reported by the clearing house of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, earlier the Synergy University had made a decision to launch a trainee job program focused on Syrian students.

In addition, the matter of putting in operation of a Russian school in Syria had been discussed. It is going to be opened by the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IOPS).

Syrian school students learn the Russian language as the second foreign language.
