The commemorative event entitled I’ll definitely be back was held yesterday. Local writers, scientists, cultural figures, journalists and all those who love and appreciate Vladimir Vysotsky’s artistic legacy were among the guests at it.

The Director of the Club-Museum of Anna Akhmatova Albina Markevich opened the event. She told the visitors about Vladimir Vysotsky’s tour to Tashkent and about meetings with that gifted performer. Then, the guests recited poems and sang songs by Vladimir Vysotsky. The program also included the screening of some fragments from films he appeared in and showing of records made during his concerts.

They often remember Vladimir Vysotsky at the museum. It hosts meetings of members belonging to the Poetry, Theatre and Music Club named after the famous performer.

Vladimir Vysotsky visited Tashkent to give his concerts there five times. A year before he died, in July 1979, he had experienced clinical death during his tour to Tashkent. Later a film named Thank You for Being Alive was based on that incident.
