French Minister of Foreign Affairs sometimes cannot understand what goes on in Ukraine

Photo: © Flickr/ Serenity Ibsen The French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Marc Ayrault speaking at the Center of Strategic International Research in Washington DC (the U.S.) claimed he sometimes cannot understand who is responsible for the situation in Ukraine, reports RIA«Novosti».

According to him, the West should try to restart work in so called the Norman format. The Minister reminded that the matter had been discussed several times and it had been brought up when the opportunity occurred during all his meetings with ministers and leaders of western countries.

Mr. Ayrault added that European politicians are trying to settle the matter of anti-Russian sanctions saying that Europe would like to lift the sanctions but the decision is to be based on some concrete results. The French Minister of Foreign Affairs reminded that the EU had taken a decision against the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions as there were not enough results that allowed doing that.
