They examined undestroyed monuments, took pictures of them and gave their description. They also assessed the level of destruction of Tadmor Archeological Museum.

According to the experts, most historical sites are not badly damaged. The Triumphal Arch, the Temple of Bel and the Temple of Baalshamin, the Queen Zenobia's Column, lot of shrines and the Fakhr al-Din al-Maani Castle are damaged worst of all.

In order to restore and recreate the exposition of the Tadmor Museum, the roof repair and the repair of the exposition halls are required. In addition, the museum has to be provided with up-to-date museum equipment and some other work has to be carried out. After that, the undamaged exhibits kept in Damascus and Homs can be brought back at the Museum and be restored.

The activities can be carried out only if the situation in Tadmor returns to normal and the safety area is established there. Nevertheless, in order to do that the city infrastructure should be recovered as it is completely ruined at the moment. All the activities require a lot of money.
