Veniamin Kaganov: Russia should develop educational programs more actively

Фото: © Fotolia/ Sergey Nivens Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the RF and a member of the Management Board of the Russkiy Mir Foundation Veniamin Kaganov claimed at the Forum of Strategic Initiatives that Russia should improve the promotion of its educational programs among Russian and international students, reports ТАСС. He underlined that the number of the latter in Russia is increasing.

Mr. Kaganov emphasized that proper education should be accessible for all the Russian citizens and they should have a chance to get it regardless of their place of living or social status. “To choose someone and to provide them with the best education is one thing and to provide every Russian citizen with a chance to get proper education is just another matter. We are trying to work out both problems at once”, he said.

He also underlined that the soviet educational system would not be able to meet competition today as life has drastically changed and due to that educational system is to change, too. “The education system has to change in order to correspond to the current situation”, Mr. Kaganov said.
