Russian language forum in Pula, Croatia

The II International Conference "Multilingualism and Intercultural Communication: Challenges of the XXI Century" organized by the Russkiy Mir Foundation and Croatian Association of the Russian language and Literutare teachers, International association of the Russian language and literature teachers, Russia's State Duma Committee on culture, will be taking place at Pula University on 16-23 July 2016.

The goal of this major forum of the Russian language specialists in Croatia is to promote theoretical and practical researches and studies in the field of Russian language and the modern Slavic philology. The conference gathered scientists from around 20 vountries: Russia, and CIS countries, Baltic countries and Europe, from the US, Israel and Australia.

The opening speech at the conference was delivered by Vladimir Kochin, Executive Director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation. "New educational technologies, professional cooperation, media technologies, language cooperation, children bilinguism - these and other key issues require our immediate actions. I hope some of the answers will be found here during the discussions; this will help to promote Russian language studies in Croatia and other countries," - said Kochin.
