Russia and Italy cooperate in the field of cinematography

Ambassador of Italy to the RF Cesare Maria Ragaglini has greately appreciated the international cooperation of the two countries in the field of cinematography, reports TASS. He also expressed his hope for its development and revealed information on new projects.

Mr. Ragaglini spoke at the reception on the occasion of the 38th Moscow International Film Festival where Italy presents its films. According to him, Russia and Italy are implementing “a number of interesting and amazing projects” together including a co-production of a film on Michelangelo directed by A. Konchalovsky. It is to be recalled, that the Russian director started his work on the film in early 2016.

Cesare Maria Ragaglini told the participants of the event about 7 Italian films presented at the MIFF saying that all of them can be considered as experimental ones. He emphasized on the Russian-Italian co-production “Hello I'm a Producer of Woody Allen” which had been announced the best Italian short-length film.

It is to be recalled, that the 38th Moscow International Film Festival started on June 23 and its short-list includes 12 films made in 11 countries.
