22.06.2016

On June 20, high school students learning Russian celebrated the end of the academic year with a traditional festival of the Russian language and culture which was held at the assembly hall of the Humanitarian Gymnasium named after Sts. Cyril and Methodius. They made up the program of the festival and directed their performances themselves. The program included some sketches based on poems by A.S.Pushkin (To A.P. Kern “Angel”), and presented their production of the story by A.P. Chekhov named “Fat And Thin”. They also took part in the trivia game named “I know the Russian language, Russian literature and Russian culture” prepared by Elitsa Milanova, a professor of the Russian language and literature at the University of Plovdiv and sang popular Russian songs. The most active participants obtained prizes.

All the festival participants received certificates “For the participation in the festival on the Russian language and culture” and their teacher and torch-bearer N.Tabakova got a merit certificate “For great achievements in teaching the Russian language”.
