1st Olympiad in Russian in Italy is over

The 1st Olympiad in Russian was over on June 2 in Milan (Italy). It had been arranged by training educational center “Harmony” of the city of Milan and supported by the Russkiy Mir Foundation, “Rossotrudnichestvo”, the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation, Milan city administration and the department for education of Milan.

Over 100 students from 11 Italian supplementary schools took part in the first stage of the contest and 45 school students going to Russian schools in Rome, Venice, Udine, Turin and Milan participated in its final held on June 2.

The winners of the Olympiad, school students going to “The Russian Word” school (Rome), “Harmony” school (Milan) and “ABC”school (Turin), received memorable gifts and medals. All the other participants of the Olympiad received their certificates.











The school students of the 10th grade of the “Harmony” school Darya Baldina, Marina Zolotova and Anna Mironova competing in the senior age group won the first, second and third prizes at the Olympiad.

The performance of an award winner of international contests a show-group “Pikkolinki” and the first performance of a production “Buzzy-Wuzzy Busy Fly” based on poems by K.Chukovsky and made by a school theatre “Parus” became the highlights of the event.
