Composer Aleksandra Pakhmutova, Actor Oleg Basilashvili and Actress Alisa Freindlich Receive State Awards

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree awarding composer Aleksandra Pakhmutova with the Order for Merit to the Fatherland pf the 3rd degree. The Order of Honor has been awarded to actor Oleg Basilashvili and actress Alisa Freindlich, the legal information portal reports.

The Russian head of state also awarded the titled of Merited Artiste of the Russian Federation on a number of cultural figures, including actress Lyudmila Doksomova of the Theater Ballet Moscow and vocalist Natalia Mironova of the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg.

The Order of Friendship was awarded to Claude-Louis Gallien, president of the Fédération internationale du sport universitaire (FISU, International University Sports Federation).
