Jubilee Edition of Comprehensive Teaching Aid Released

As the 300th anniversary of the great Russian scholar Mikhail Lomonosov approaches, the Russkiy Mir Foundation and Russian Language Courses publishing house have prepared a jubilee edition of the comprehensive teaching aid “Mikhail Lomonosov” from the Russian World Tokens series. It narrates on the outstanding Russian scholar, philosopher and poet and his priceless contribution to the intellectual culture of mankind.

The teaching aid contains an educational film which highlights an extraordinary biography of Lomonosov as well as the cultural and academic life of Russia in the XVIII century. The film capitalizes on the footage of the TV series Mikhailo Lomonosov and video filmed in the memorial museum apartment of M.V. Lomonosov in Saint Petersburg. The book for reading contains texts recounting he main facts of the great scholar’s life, his scientific discoveries and versatile interests. Diverse after-textual assignments are meant to help foreign students develop the skills of reading and spoken language.

The attendees of the Russian language courses organized by the Russian Centers and Russkiy Mir Cabinets will be able to familiarize themselves with the new edition, which will be delivered as a part of the Lomonosov’s Program campaign organized by the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
